Apple Oven Pancake
This recipe is similar to the German Pancakes, but is smaller in size and adds the apples and brown sugar.
2 Tbl. Butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teas. salt
1 medium apple, peeled & sliced
2 Tbl. Brown sugar
1/4 teas. cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
Put the butter in a 9” pie plate and then put in the oven until the butter is melted.
Mix all other ingredients in a mixing bowl, except for the apples.
When the butter is melted, pull the pie plate out and sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over the melted butter.
Spread the apples in a layer over the brown sugar and butter.
Pour the cake mixture over the apples, etc.
Cook in a 400 deg. over for 20-30 minutes.
When the pancake is puffy, take it out immediately and turn it over onto a serving plate.
